Au fond (Deep/Inside/ In the depths) is an interactive video projection onto a shop-window. The projectors are installed inside the shop and images are projected only during the night. When pedestrians walk by the window, motion detecting software sets the videos (showing actually people passing by, attracted and stopping by the windowcase) to play. I call this an intimate urban project. What is normally outside is now reflected from the inside but still remains the object of attraction and interaction for those who are outside. This interaction between the pedestrian-spectator and the video display creates an effect of depth beyond the shop-front itself.
